From the Secretary’s Desk

What a fast and very successful 2015, thanks to the LEADERSHIP of our Officers along with the outstanding support of our CRAFT at J. Wendell Fargis No. 356. Congratulations to our newly elected and appointed officers for 2016. Plans are underway and positive action is continuing to keep us on track for whom we represent as Masons.

I too, am humbled and honored to be elected as Secretary of our Lodge and with the aid of our Assistant Secretary, James Y. Gaskins, (PM) the duties will be handled as necessary to fulfill the obligations of this position. I will be at the Lodge Monday, Wednesday and Friday from 9:00 a.m. Until noon.

From the East (December 2015)


Wow, time sure has flown this year. As we head into December it means it’s time for some changes. Elections of Lodge Officers will be at our Stated Meeting on December 3rd, please come out and help elect our new officers. On December 2nd, we need 6 Brothers to go to Stafford Caldwell to retrieve our Level, dinner at 6, meeting at 7, if you can help out please let me know. We will continue our Lodge Breakfast on the 12th from 7:30 to l0 am. If you can help out in the kitchen, please contact Br Sam. The 11th and 12th Masonic District meeting will be at Barnett Lodge on the 16th, Dinner is at 6:30 Meeting at 7:30. Please mark your calendars for January 2nd. Again, we would like to stress the fact that we are having returned or undeliverable Trestleboards. We need to have you update your mailing address and e-mail address and phone numbers. This will enable us to be more efficient and not continue to be expensive to your lodge. Thank you.

From the East (April 2015)


We have a very busy month, starting with our stated meeting on the 7th where we will have 3 Brothers doing their EA Proficiencies. Our Lodge Breakfast will be May 9th as well as the lodge work day. Please let Brother Sam know if you can help in the kitchen and Brother Wayne if you can help with cleaning the lodge room. On Tuesday the 12th we will be visiting Ribault lodge to get their traveling Gavel, we will need at least 5 brothers to attend. Br. Sam Sheider and his degree team will be putting on a Fellowcraft Degree for 5 Brothers on the 16th, again if you can help with this degree please let Brother Sam know. At our second stated meeting we will be discussing upcoming legislation that will be voted on at Grand Lodge communication May 24th-27th. If any Brother would like to read the legislation please contact me or RW Frank for a copy. Please be on the lookout for information on a Lodge Steak night on August 22nd, details will be coming soon!

Finally I’d like to thank all the brothers that came out and helped with our day of yard work at a couple of our Past Masters’ houses, it was greatly appreciated.

Please keep all our brothers that have been ill in your prayers, most especially Br. Art Barfield, W. Richard Abdullah, W. George Montgomery, and James Gaskins.
